Why do the teeth turn yellow?
1) Poor dental hygiene
Not brushing your teeth two to three times a day or flossing once a day can lead to plaque build-up, especially around the edges of the gum that is the junction between the teeth. and the gums.

2) Smoking
If you smoke, then you may have noticed brown or yellow spots that appear on your teeth and that you can not remove by brushing them regularly.
These stains are caused by the nicotine and tar content of tobacco products, so the higher the ratio of these products, the faster your teeth get stained.

3) Genetics
Some people are lucky enough to have whiter teeth than others, and this is largely due to a thicker layer of tooth enamel. Dental enamel is the hard outer layer of your tooth and has a white appearance. It protects the much dentine layer that is right underneath, and the dentine contains the color of your natural tooth. If you have a thinner layer of enamel, this natural color is more visible, and it is very likely that it is very yellow or even gray.

4) Aging
In general, young people have whiter teeth than older people, and this is one of the reasons why white teeth are often associated with youth.

As we get older, the enamel layer that protects our teeth tends to thin because it is simply worn, which further exposes the color of the underlying dentine.

5) Drugs
Some antibiotics, particularly tetracycline and doxycycline, are known to discolour children's teeth if they are exposed to these drugs before the age of eight. This is because their teeth are still developing at this stage.
Other medications such as antidepressants, antihistamines and high blood pressure medications can also discolour teeth.
As time goes on, the amount of tartar increases and if you do not take care of it, it can cause periodontitis.
Of course, the best way to remove tartar is to visit your dentist, but there is another way to remove tartar at home.

To do this, you will need:
Baking soda
Toothbrush
Coconut oil
Salt
Water
A toothpick
Antiseptic mouthwash

Instructions :
First, mix a tablespoon of baking soda with ½ teaspoon of salt and a tablespoon of coconut oil in a cup. After wetting the toothbrush with warm water, soak it in the mixture. Rub the teeth with and spit. Continue the same process for five minutes.
Rub the yellow tartar teeth with a toothpick. Be careful not to scratch the gums as this may irritate and damage them.
Rinse your mouth with an antiseptic mouthwash and repeat this twice a week.
Here are some other tips to help you keep your teeth white and healthy.

Strawberries and tomatoes
Tomatoes and strawberries are rich in vitamin C, excellent for oral health. You can rub these fruits directly on your teeth and let sit for 5 minutes. Thus, tartar buildup will diminish.
Rinse your mouth with baking soda mixed with hot water. In addition, you can use the same procedure with other foods that contain vitamin C, such as blueberries, lemon, orange and papaya.

Cheese
Eating cheese before meals helps neutralize the acids that involve creating the plate. An ingredient in aged cheese acts as a barrier agent.

Plus, there are other things you can add to your oral health routine:
Brush your teeth regularly with a soft toothbrush and make vertical movements. Pay attention to the space between the gums and the teeth.

Floss regularly.
Fight bacteria by rubbing an orange peel on your teeth before bedtime and without rinsing your mouth.
