Drinking coffee on a daily basis is one of
the factors that reduce the risk of premature death from all causes.
In fact, drinking 4 cups of black coffee
per day reduces the risk of premature death from all causes by 65 percent,
according to a study presented at the European Society of Cardiology
conference, but only if they drink black without milk Or sugar.
Researchers at the Hospital de Navarra in
Pamplona, Spain, conducted a study of 19896 participants with an average age
of about 37.7 years.
At the beginning of the study, participants
completed a questionnaire on their eating habits and rate of coffee, their
lifestyle and socio-demographic characteristics, their anthropometric
measurements and their health status.

The researchers followed the participants
over 10 years, during which the mortality rate was recorded. Cox regression
models were used to estimate the risk ratios HR and 95% Confidence Intervals
for incident deaths as a function of total coffee consumption.
During the study period, 337 participants
died. The researchers found that individuals who drank at least 4 cups of
coffee a day had a 64 percent lower risk of death than all those who did not
drink coffee or drank a little. These results were statistically significant,
particularly among adults aged 45 years.
This results suggest that drinking 4 cups
of coffee a day may be a healthy diet for people who are healthy in advance.
